  • Student Assignment
  • The Board of Education approved the new Choice Student Assignment Plan during their meeting on October 18, 2011. The new assignment plan will go into effect for the 2012-13 school year.
  • Report cards for first semester will be issued during Period 2 on Friday, January 27. 
  • Panther Creek High School will be hosting its first Blood Drive sponsored by Rex Hospital. The blood drive will take place on Saturday February 4, 2012 from 9:00 am to 1:00pm. Parents and students are encouraged to get involved by donating blood.   Every three seconds someone needs blood, and one donation can save 3 lives. Appointments will be scheduled every 15 minutes.  Any individual who is 17 years of age and older, in good health and weighs at least 110 pounds is eligible to donate.   • New accountability standards for North Carolina high schools are in effect this school year.  Included are changes in the state's testing program.  A letter from Rodney Nelson, Principal, provides additional information regarding the changes.
  • Papa John's is running a series of fundraisers for Wake County Public Schools. Every second Wednesday starting in December, 2011, to June, 2012, Wake County Papa John’s pizza restaurants will be donating a portion of their proceeds to all schools in the Wake County Public School System.   • Thursday, February 9 - Second Semester Parent Night at 7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 15 - Parent Information Night for Rising 9th grade students. Student Services invites parents of rising 9th grade students to join them in a presentation about PCHS in the PCHS auditorium.  This information session will begin at 6:30 p.m.  Parents can expect to receive information on Future Ready Core graduation requirements, scheduling, rigors of high school, and opportunities that PCHS has to offer.  Due to seating availability, we ask that only parents attend this event.  PCHS will hold a freshmen orientation in early August for all ninth grade students and their parents. 
  • Thursday, February 16 - Mr. Catamount. 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.
  • Thursday, February 23 - Parent Information Night for Rising 10th - 12th grade students. This session will be held in the PCHS auditorium starting at 6:30 p.m.  Students and parents are encouraged to attend this important information night.  The information that will be covered, but not limited to, includes graduation requirements, AP course information, and the 2012-2013 course registration process.  PCHS will also have a representative from each academic department available to answer questions.
